FALL 2016 LIVE AFTER FIVE WILL BE HELD IN REPENTANCE PARK!
Produced by the Downtown Business Association, Live After Five (#LA5) is recognized as the longest running, most successful outdoor concert series in the history of Baton Rouge, seeing an estimated 100,000 attendees per year.
There are eight shows in the Spring and eight in the Fall, each from 5pm-8pm. The Fall 2016 season will be located at Repentance Park, behind the Old State Capitol, off of River Road.FALL

Livingston Parish School Board Approves Revisions to 2016 Academic Calendar 

LIVINGSTON, La. – The Livingston Parish School Board tonight voted to approve revisions to the Fall 2016 academic calendar to increase instructional time missed due to flooding.In addition to the regularly scheduled class days, which will start back on Sept. 12, the board voted to change the following days to full class days for students:
• Thursday, Sept. 15 (originally a ½ day for teacher professional development)
• Friday, Oct. 7 (originally a Fair Day Holiday; the Livingston Parish Fair has been cancelled)• Thursday, Oct. 20 (originally a Teacher/Parent Conference Day)
• Wednesday, Nov. 16 (originally a ½ day for teacher professional development)
“These are the only changes we’re comfortable making right now, pending our appeal to the Board of Elementary and Secondary Education to waive required instructional minutes,” Assistant Superintendent Stephen Parrill said.Parrill noted any further adjustments to the calendar, if needed, will be made following BESE’s ruling.
